Baltimore Symphony Orchestra New Music Festival

Mind on Fire performs Elori Kramer

On Saturday, May 19th at 8pm, Mind on Fire will be performing a mesmerizing work by Elori Kramer titled, “The Blue of Distance.” The concert will take place at EMP Collective 307 W. Attach Mode v.1

On Friday, April 13th at 7:30pm, the Pique Collective will host an electronic experience and dance party at the Motor House. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased in advance here. The show will feature sixty minutes of uninterrupted sound and visual stimulus that will go straight into a two hour set by DJ Dirty Face. Bring your friends and get ready for a unique experience and party all in one!

Pique Collective at the Church of the Epiphany D.C.

Jeremy returns to the Church of the Epiphany in Washington D.C. on Tuesday, February 27th to play with the Pique Collective. The concert is part of the Tuesday afternoon concert series and is open to the public with a suggested donation. The Pique Collective will be performing 20th century cabaret songs, all of which are arranged specifically for the ensemble by Lisa Perry. Premiere of “Storied” by Edmund Scott Miller.

On Sunday, February 25th, Jeremy and Zoe Johnstone-Stewart will premiere a composition for two guitars titled, “Storied” by Edmund Scott Miller. The performance is part of the “Made in Baltimore” commission presentation organized by the Baltimore Classical Guitar Society. The society commissioned four local composers to write for solo guitar or guitar ensemble. “Storied” features two guitars each tuned to a different overtone series, and the many techniques used by each player aim to realize the regional history and socio-economic strata that inspired the composition.

The concert begins at 2pm and will be held in Linehan concert hall on the campus of UMBC in Catonsville, MD.

Classical Revolution live at WTMD radio studio

You can hear Jeremy this Friday, February 16th at the WTMD Towson public radio studio as he performs with the organization, Classical Revolution. Jeremy will be playing a short lute prelude by J. S. Bach but he will be using an electric guitar. Later on in the program, the Pique Collective will be featured playing a rendition of Arvo Pärt’s Spiegel im Spiegel with guest vocal artist, Dominic Shodekeh Talifero. If you cannot attend the show but are interested in hearing some of it, tune into WTMD 89.7 in the Baltimore area. February shows

Jeremy will be performing three times this February. You can see him on Saturday, February 24th on the campus of University of Maryland, College Park as he accompanies vocalist, Lori Sen, on a program of contemporary sephardic songs. The recital will begin at 5pm, and more info will be posted in the coming weeks.

 

On Sunday, February 25th, Jeremy and Zoe Johnstone-Stewart will be premiering a new composition for guitar duo by composer, Scott Miller. This performance will be a part of the Baltimore Classical Guitar Society’s “Made in Baltimore” event featuring new compositions by four local composers. The performance will begin at 2pm and will be held in Linehan hall on the campus of UMBC. For more information about this concert, click here.

 

The Pique Collective will be performing arrangements of songs by Bernstein, Weill, and Bolcom on Tuesday, February 27th, 12pm at the Church of the Epiphany in Washington D.C. This concert is part of the Tuesday Concert Series and is free to the public, though a donation is encouraged. Voice and Guitar at Church of the Epiphany, D.C.

Soprano, Lisa Perry and guitarist, Jeremy Lyons will perform a recital at the Church of the Epiphany in Washington D.C. beginning at 12pm on Tuesday, December 12th. The concert is free, though a $10 offering is encouraged, and all proceeds go toward sustaining the Tuesday concert series at the church. For more information, click here.

Pique Collective presents: Detach Mode

Join the Pique Collective for a relaxing hour of music as they hold the second concert in their Detach Mode series on Sunday, December 3rd at Corcycle Spin Studio. The event features calming music performed in a dark room where audience members are encouraged to lay down on mats and enjoy using their ears to drift in and out of states of awareness. Doors open at 1:30pm with warm tea and cookies, and the session begins at 2pm. Tickets are $10, but space is limited and it is suggested to buy your tickets in advance here.
