Below are some pictures from the solo recital and masterclass held at West Chester University on October 30th and 31st, and the Pitcher Perfect happy hour concert featuring the music of Judah Adashi at An die Musik on November 4th. The West Chester University event was the opening concert of the Wilmington Classical Guitar Society 2015-2016 season, while the happy hour concert was a production of the Lunar ensemble.
On Wednesday, November 4th 2015, Jeremy will be performing as a guest member of the Baltimore based contemporary music group, the Lunar ensemble. The concert is part of a happy hour series hosted at the Baltimore War Memorial. The concert will feature music by the Baltimore composer Judah Adashi. Jeremy will be giving a solo recital at West Chester University of Pennsylvania on Friday evening, October 30th at 7:30 pm. The recital is free and it is the opening event of the Wilmington Classical Guitar Society’s 2015-2016 season. The performance will feature works by Mauro Giuliani, Sylvius Leopold Weiss, Johann Sebastian Bach, Joaquin Rodrigo, and Alexandre Tansman. Jeremy will also hold a masterclass the following Saturday morning, October 31st at 2pm. Congratulations to all of the students who performed at the Artist music guitar ensemble concert! Directed by Jeremy Lyons, the Artist music guitar ensemble currently consists of ten guitarists performing in quartet, trio, duo, and solo settings. Students interested in participating in the Artist music guitar ensemble should contact Artist music education Center in Perry Hall, Maryland. All ages and levels of experience are welcome.
Representing Artist music education, Jeremy will be performing in the Artist music faculty recital on Saturday August 22nd at Trinity Life Church in Lutherville, Maryland. The performance will feature music by Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco, Joaquin Rodrigo, and Augustin Barrios. Jeremy will be sharing the stage with other distinguished faculty from the Artist piano and woodwind departments. The concert begins at 2pm and is free to the public.
Immediately preceding the faculty recital will be a student concert presented by the Artist music guitar ensemble. This ensemble, directed by Jeremy Lyons, will demonstrate pieces of music from a variety of time periods arranged for two, three, and four guitars. Jeremy’s students will also perform solos in what promises to be a fantastic display of the high level of musicianship and talent within the Artist guitar department. Jeremy will be appearing Wednesday evening, July 8th at the Village Learning Place to perform music with soprano, Lisa Perry and flutist, Stephanie Ray. Jeremy Lyons and Lisa Perry return to the War Memorial in Baltimore Maryland this Friday, June 19th to perform a concert of highly idiomatic and culturally diverse music for voice and guitar. The program contains traditional Italian music, Spanish folk songs and dances, the styles of American Jazz and Blues, and other music drawing on popular influences. The concert begins at 7:30 and includes refreshments.

The performance at the Baltimore War Memorial on May 22nd has been postponed to Friday June 19th at 7:30. Due to conflicting events and limited space, the War Memorial Arts Initiative will present Soprano, Lisa Perry and Guitarist, Jeremy Lyons next month. Check back in June for a look at the program which promises classical compositions influenced by folk and popular styles from Europe and the Americas.
Jeremy will be giving a lecture recital featuring the music by Elliott Carter, George Rochberg, Steve Reich, and George Crumb. The event will be Sunday April 26 at 3:30 pm in Goodwin recital hall at the Peabody conservatory in Baltimore MD
Jeremy will be performing this Sunday March 29th at 5pm with Teatro Lirico of D.C. in a concert featuring some of the finest Baroque period music from Peru. The concert will take place at The Church of The Epiphany in Washington D.C.
Jeremy will be playing on Baroque guitar as a member of the ensemble and he will also be accompanying a flamenco dancer in a Fandango by Mathias Maestro.
