On Sunday, March 30th, Jeremy will be giving a solo recital as part of the Wilmington Classical Guitar Society’s 2013-2014 season. The recital will be held at the Music School of Delaware, Wilmington Branch, and will begin at 3pm. On Monday, November 25th, Jeremy will be performing chamber music for his fifth Peabody doctoral recital.
The program includes the Antonio Vivaldi Concerto in D (RV93), Drei Fragmente Nach Holderlin by Hans Werner Henze, and the Op. 143 Guitar Quintet by Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco. Performing with Jeremy will be violinists Chi-Yin Chen and Zhangyi Chen, violist Elise Skaggs, cellist Emily Smith, and soprano Lisa Perry.
This program of exciting music performed by exceptional musicians is free and open to the public. The recital will take place in Griswold Hall on the campus of the Peabody Conservatory and begins at 6:30 pm.
Don’t miss the Peabody Renaissance Ensemble in concert on Thursday November 21st and Friday November 22nd in Griswold Hall on the campus of the Peabody Conservatory. Jeremy will be playing a bandora (a sixteenth-century, wire-strung continuo instrument) accompanying the ensemble as they perform English music by John Dowland. Also be sure to stay for the second half of the program as the Baltimore Baroque Band performs music by Henry Purcell.

My fifth DMA recital will feature the Castelnuovo-Tedesco guitar quintet (for guitar and string quartet). The concert is scheduled for Monday evening at 6:30pm on November 25th in Griswold recital hall at the Peabody Conservatory. More details to come as the date approaches.
Don’t miss the voice and guitar duo of Lisa Perry and Jeremy Lyons at the Emmanuel Episcopal Church on the corner of Cathedral and Read street. The concert is this Wednesday, July 17th at 12 noon. As it is a lunch-time concert, there will be free food. The concert will be about 30 minute and will include works by Falla, Rodrigo, and Lorca. Admission is free.
With summer time fast approaching, now is the best time to contact Jeremy about private lesson, daytime or evening concerts, and weddings or special occasions. Classical guitar is the perfect instrument for indoor/outdoor spaces and works equally well for intimate or public settings. Also be sure to inquire about the voice and guitar duo of Lisa Perry and Jeremy Lyons. The best part about this duo is that your space does not need a piano to hire Lyons and Perry. Coming up on July 17th, the voice and guitar duo of Lisa Perry and Jeremy Lyons will be performing at the Emmaunel Episcopal Church in Baltimore, Maryland. This performance will be part of the Wednesday afternoon concert series, A Joyful Noise. More to come about this performance as we near the date.

The Peabody Renaissance ensemble will be celebrating its 25th anniversary with three concerts on Friday, April 26th at 7:30 pm in Griswold Hall, Saturday, April 27th at 7:30 pm in Griswold Hall, and Sunday, April 28th at 4pm in the Church of the Epiphany in Washington D.C. I will be performing on Baroque Guitar as well as Viola-da gamba.
I am excited to announce my fourth DMA recital at the Peabody Conservatory will be held on Thursday, May 2nd at 6:30 pm in Griswold Hall.
The program will include solo works by Rodrigo, Falla, and Tedesco. I will also be performing the seven Spanish folk songs with my duo partner, Soprano, Lisa Perry. I will conclude my concert with the four preludes and fugues for two guitars by Tedesco featuring Petrit Ceku. This will be an encore performance from Petrit’s concert in March.
Admission to student recitals is free so this is a great opportunity to see Lisa, Petrit, and myself at no cost.
