The concert featuring the music by Fernando Sor and Vicente Martin i Soler through Teatro Lirico of D.C. has been postponed until 2015. Due to an overbooked schedule at the Art Museum of the Americas, the concert will be moved to the Spring time. Check back in 2015 for details about the re-scheduled concert.
On December 7th Jeremy will be performing voice and guitar music by the composers Fernando Sor and Vicente Martin i Soler. The concert will be held at the Art Museum of the Americas in Washington D.C. and is part of the 2014-2015 season of Teatro Lirico of D.C. The company promotes a variety of Spanish and Italian lyric repertoire and this program promises to deliver the beautiful sound of classical music for voice and guitar in an equally appealing venue (AMA) The performance is scheduled for 3pm. Jeremy will be performing Friday evening October 24th, with the Bay Street Brassworks ensemble at First and Franklin Presbyterian Church, 210 West Madison Street Baltimore MD 21201. The performance is part of the Spire Concert Series and the program will contain many jazz favorites. For more information about the concert series and location, click here. Other performances include a concert of music by Fernando Sor and Vicente Martin i Soler for voice and guitar through the Teatro Lirico of Washington D.C. Tentative date of the concert is the first weekend in December (6th or 7th). Check out Teatro Lirico’s website for updates as December approaches.
Jeremy will also be performing a solo concert on January 11th, 2015 through the Philadelphia classical guitar society. Check back for more information about the program before the new year.
Over the last weekend of March, Jeremy performed a concert for the Wilmington Classical Guitar Society in Wilmington, Delaware and he also worked with several fine guitarists during a masterclass also held by the society. Many thanks to Matthew Lavanish and the members and supporters of the Wilmington Classical Guitar Society for making the event a great success. Today and tomorrow only, (April 10th and 11th) the Peabody Renaissance Ensemble will perform a program of Spanish medeival and Renaissance music in Griswold Hall at the Peabody Conservatory. Jeremy regularly performs Baroque guitar with the ensemble and the ensemble features music played on period instruments such as viola da gamba, recorder, vielle, oud, and various percussion instruments.
