Detach Mode V.3

Pique Collective presents the latest edition of the Detach Mode series on Sunday, December 2nd 2018 at 6pm. The performance will take place at Corcycle spin studio and audience members are encouraged to bring a pillow, blanket, or anything that allows you to get comfortable and relax. Pique will provide warm tea, cookies, and eye masks to allow each person to experience the music in darkness while drifting in and out of consciousness. Pique Collective Presents an Evening of Original Music and Art on the Journeys made by Immigrants in our Community

Pique Collective will perform an original composition by Jeremy Lyons based on text by the African poet, Lucas Chib on Sunday, November 4th 2018 from 6-8pm at 2640 Space located at 2640 Saint Paul St. Baltimore MD 21218.

The event will also include a presentation of authentic cuisine prepared by members of the Mera Kitchen Collective, and a photography series by the Brazilian artist, Camila Franco Ribeiro Gomide. From 6-7pm, audience members will enjoy the culinary contributions of immigrants as they sample food curtesy of the Mera Kitchen Collective – an organization that empowers female immigrants through food entrepreneurship. At this time, audience members can also view a series of photos that are of an immigrant and one item from their home that is important to them. The series, prepared by Camila Franco Ribeiro Gomide, aims to humanize each person and demonstrate how similar all people are.

The musical presentation will begin at 7pm and will feature Pique Collective performing a series of vignettes based on poems by Lucas Chib. These selected poems deal with the realities faced by immigrants and refugees. The event is free and open to the public.

Origins Concert Series

On Saturday, November 3rd 2018, Jeremy will be performing on the Origins Concert Series in Silver Spring, MD. The concert series features a mixture of traditional repertoire and contemporary compositions. Jeremy will be performing guitar on a piece titled, “Balance Problems” by Nico Muhly. He will also be performing two guitar solos by Lewis Krauthamer which explore Virginian popular folklore. The two solos are the first two movements of the composition, “Four Virginian Ballads on Themes of Human Weakness,” and the pieces use a guitar tuned to a sixth-tone scale. Mountain Piques

Jeremy will be performing with Pique Collective on Thursday, October 18th 2018, 8pm at Black Cherry Puppet Theater. Pique will be premiering a new composition by Elliott Grabill titled, “Mountain Piques.” The piece is inspired by sounds of nature and is written specifically for Pique Collective as part of an ongoing effort by the ensemble to commission new works by local composers. Mind on Fire at EMP Collective – September 22, 2018

Jeremy will be performing contemporary electronic works with Mind on Fire on Saturday, September 22nd. In addition to playing with the ensemble, he will also be featured playing the guitar solo, “People are on the streets,” for guitar and live electronics by Igor Silva. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased here. Doors open at 7:30 with multiple acts going until about 10:30pm.

Attach Mode v.1

On Friday, April 13th at 7:30pm, the Pique Collective will host an electronic experience and dance party at the Motor House. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased in advance here. The show will feature sixty minutes of uninterrupted sound and visual stimulus that will go straight into a two hour set by DJ Dirty Face. Bring your friends and get ready for a unique experience and party all in one!
